Born in Mexico city, currently based in Silicon Valley, Taryn's passion for art has been with her since early childhood and has culminated in a body of work filled with sensation and enigmatic energy. Techniques involving texture, lines and a muted color palette help her in her signature use of the figure with abstract elements. Her medium is watercolor but in her own way. With continued experimentation, she is always learning and exploring but remains true to her overall mission: to intrigue the viewer
Growing up I spent a lot of time by myself … thinking.
It might come as a surprise but even when raised in the hustle and bustle of busy Mexico City, it is easy to get isolated - This gave me lots of time to wonder why I was here and what I was meant to do with my life.
My mind was opened even more during a philosophy class in my mid-teens.
I got comfortable to deeply connect with myself. I also learned to analyze and solve my world by trying to understand the little pieces first, and then putting them back together again.
This methodical way of thinking and approaching life is just as present in my art. As my structured thinking brought balance and calm to my life, now my structured, abstract artwork brings balance and calm to yours. Enjoy the flow.
